Im with Johnny..... Also dont make the mistake I made learn to ride from MSF instead of thinking you could do it with out it. MD I am trying to sell my bike. 5,000 and I might be able to transfer my warrenty to you. It is good till 2009.

yeah as soon as i get my funds together ill be taking some sort of course. im somewhat familar with motorcycles...i used to drive around in the back yard and parking lots in a honda cb360...and friends bikes a lil bit and cousins dirt bike.... but yeah ill defnitely be taking something...there was some deal with harley a lil bit ago that with a purchase of a sportster u got the riders edge program free....not sure if thats still going on or not.

im picking up more hours at work...to try and pay some things off and get a decent down payment setup. so it will be a month or two before im more serious about getting one.

I know with the older yamaha's they were geared for a little bit of a shorter rider so maybe watch that on the newer ones. i'm not sure how they are now. I guess sit on one and see if it fits you.

I vote for a Kawasaki ZL 600 or a Yamaha Radian 600....both a decent mix between sport bike and cruiser. I owned a ZL 600...essentially a ninga engine in a cofortable cruiser. Not too powerfull, but still enough power to command respect and to be great on the hwy. I could get the front end up, but it needed coaxing to do so...

Good looking bikes, cofortable cruisers, fun to drive....

yeah i was reading that about some of the bikes i was looking at. having trouble finding decent reviews on bikes but anyways i can remember which but one was cramped for someone 6'4.....well im about 6'3 so i may need to take that into consideration with these bikes...looks like some of them are made for shorter riders.

welcome to any suggestions....

i can get into matc in july to take the course to get my license. so maybe by august or september ill be getting a bike.

Yamaha Warriors are worth looking into too, real bad ass once you have the stock exhaust removed. My dad is selling his 05 Honda VTX 1300 for 7500 and it has 3000 miles on it, maroon lots of chrome and in MINT condition with lots of factory aftermarket stuff on it.

I second theV-Star vote. There is def a reason their company logo is a tuning fork. Those bikes run beautifully :thumbsup
