Looking to get rid of my cat. Silver tabby, year old. Male, needs to be neutered still. Goes by the name Ony, likes kids, likes anyone.

Need to just get rid of and rather not have to send him to the humane society. Apparently cats and their litter boxes are not good for pregnant women and newborns.

Cost = Free.

Pic? Declawed?

I will get pics up tomorrow, and no it is not declawed. Declawing tends to mess with them personality wise, and is bad for their backs. They will either become whimps or end up biters.

He doesn't scratch though. He's also just the right amount of cuddly. He's independent, but if you need him, he cuddles. It's unfortunate that we have to get rid of him but myles' cousin, who is our roommate is getting increasingly allergic to him and apparently kitties are not good to be around when pregnant. breaks my heart, i love my little kitty but want him to at least have a good home instead of having to take him to the humane society, where i don't know if he would be okay.

as long as you clean the litterbox out it is not a problem. i know because for the last 7 months i have that honor. there is an bacteria is cat crap that is bad for pregnant women, not to mention all that stuff that is in that litter. keep the cat, clean the litterbox. real easy if you just use shoeboxes, then after 2 days just put the cover on and throw out,LOL!

If all else fails, check into Second Hand Purrs. They place a lot of cats into good homes. They even require that they come to the house and check it out before they place a cat there.

Pics? Has this cat interacted with any other cats? Or was he solely on his own?

Pics later tonight, forgot the camera at home when i went to work.

The cat has not interacted with cats, it has interacted with my rottie tho. I assume he would get along well with other pets because of it. I would actually have to find another cat to do some tests.

If you clean the box, you will be ok. Just don't let your wife do it.

It's not like you have to get rid of it. Just letting you know. I've been through it.
