I know these are tubo's and such, can these be fast ?

They are the sister car to the Conquest. I know they has issues with heads: warping, gaskets going, and cracking.....

They can be very fast when you put the right motor in it. :thumbsup

Mine is going to get a fully forged 5.3, 6.0 liter heads, nasty cam, and a turbo with the T56 behind it.

if you don't go the route that he ^ is, the car is kinda the first "dsm" just not a diamond star.

They can be down right nasty cars with the stock motor, The weak point is the heads and warping. I had one a few years back and the car was a blast.

Back in the day when I had my Daytona '93-'95 there was a red Conquest that was pretty much stock if I remember & also a nasty blue Starion running around. Havent seen those 2 in years. Anybody from here by chance?? Very neat cars:thumbsup:thumbsup:headbang

It's also a 2.6L RWD car... pretty rare for a stock turbo car.

we took one apart for parting with the old shop, there is literally a "computer" for everything. even the seatbelts. they're in these little boxes. it was a relatively "futuristic" car, the interior resembled a small airplane

there nightmares when it comes to fuel management when you get into higher hp. i think theres on standalone system that works well but its out of australia and has no support.So yea they can be and are sweet but anything past bolt ons and your looking into majoy money

I know of one locally that has a stroked motor with the above mentioned fuel management system from australia. Just finished the build, now in tuning.....should be a monster when it's done!

in 1G DSM's there is a computer for the seatbelts. and in old auto seat belted ford cars as well.

there was the conquest that was stock back in the day john....it was realy clean, but last I heard he sold it and the kid who bought it put on a fart pipe and ****ed it up.....the starion......havent seen tha ***** since st paul was really active a few years ago.....

I found 2 on ebay relativly cheap. Maybe this would be a good canidate for a lsx swap? I had a girlfriend back in 1992 that had a turbo conquest, it was a pretty sweet car. I would imagine with a v8 in it it would be bad ass....

The only times he does not drive a Mitsubishi are in:
- Cannonball Run, in which his character drives a modified black Subaru DL 4WD
- City Hunter, which he drives a Mazda RX-7 modified by his tuning company
- The Tuxedo which he drives a BMW Z8.

- For his 2004 film, New Police Story, Chan had a Japanese tuning company commission a modified Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII specially for the film
