Lisa has mastered the art of keeping fish alive, so it was time to to get a reptile. Baby turtles were too cool to pass up, meet Quimby and Shy.

These are Red Ear Sliders, so I am told they average about 6 inches in length when in captivity. They can get fairly large though, they grow to the size of their environment.

And if anyone wants one of these little buggers for free, PM me. If you make an order for 10-11 months of food, you can get one of these buggers for free.

Might wanna order a little more food... I'm reading they can live 50-70 years.

Those little critters might have to be willed to someone.:wooo

Good luck with them. We had some growing up. They are pretty low maintenance but the aquariums need to be cleaned often...

I used to catch them all day long at greenfield park then bring them home and plop them into my 150 gallon tank. Would keep them for a week and then let um go and catch more. I remember catching a few of the same ones over and over, those were the days I rode BMX all day long and had no cares in the world.

.

Most any marine turtle live well over 50 yrs, land tortoise's live
anywhere from 80-150 yrs. In captivity reptiles regularly live
longer than there wild bred siblings. All reptile life expectancy
records are from captive animals.
