Anyone have gauges and A/C service capability that can help me out? My Caddy says "low refrigerant" on the dash and I can't get it to take any more R134, in fact the low side pressure seems high to me... Let me know if anyone can help out for a reasonable price, I'd appreciate it!

Hmmmmmmmm im not a buff on car A/C's

Why did the light come on ? was it blowing warm ?

Are you only worried about a light or is there cooling problems. If it can't take anymore R134 im sure you overcharged it !!!!!!!!!

Thats all I can think of........

Its a computer message on the dash it says "refrigerant very low, a/c compressor shutting off" and yes indeed the compressor will not run so it does blow warm and not work.

Thats kinda neat it tells you all that, you got OIL LIFE MONITORS on that thing too :thumbsup

Good luck on the a/c, how long has the message been playing ?

Jim, did you get it working yet? And andy, did you call them to verify or do you need one fixed as well?

I am having this same problem, but with my KIA. :rolf
I know not to long ago, you could go down to the parts store and get the re-fill cans. Then they pulled them again. Does anyone know if that is a state thing or across the country? They were only like $6 a can!!

I think the G/F needs a freon charge... I called to verify the price which sounded to good to be true....

I still need to get mine looked at. I was going to check out that Dave's place, unless someone wants to take a look at it for me and make a few bucks on the side.
