Finally picked one up yesterday. Today I'll be picking up Forza 2 during lunch.

Question for you. what's the deal with there not being a digital audio output? The PS2 had a optical output, and I'm pretty sure the Xbox did also. Why would they not offer that on a next gen system? Do any of the aftermarket component sets upgrade the audio cables somehow?

I have to say I was pretty disappointed by that. When my Wii didn't have it I was annoyed, but understood why with the lower power of the system and games. But for a system that boasts HD and has an HD DVD player available, seems pretty stupid that you don't get the better sound.

There is an Optical output on the back of the transformer that the Video harness goes into.

I didn't know it was there either until I was setting it up again when I moved. Of course now I wish that I would have waited and bought the Xbox 360 Elite for the HDMI output and the badass black case.

yeah I had thought about it, but #1 they are hard to find. And #2 my TV has a DVI input instead of the HDMI. So I'd have to buy an adapter anyways. The black does look much better.

Personally I wish they'd just make all the video game systems the same size as other audio/video components so they'd just blend into the rack.

I got a ps3 and well for xbox that would be the only game i would play for it. so i am thinking of getting a used one just to play that game on lol. i know it sounds gay but I loved the first Forza and GT5 who knows when that will come out.

If GT5 had a date or even really any info I may have waited. But they are really dragging their feet on GT5.

Gran Turismo was the reason why I bought a PS, and a PS2.

But from everything I've seen on Forza the last couple months, it seemed to be just what I was missing. I don't get into the NFS type games as much as I do the racing sims.

I bought xbox because of Halo and I have been hooked ever since on the graphics and the style of games available for it. I bought the 360 for Halo 3 and for Gears of War never expecting Forza to be as good as it is so I cant wait to get a copy now.

Well #1 optical cable makes a huge difference in sound. This is much more like it.

#2 Forza is very badass. And unlike Gran Turismo it rewards you pretty early with some decent cars. The graphics are stunning. The car customization is way cool. You can actually do engine swaps. Like they offer for my 69 Z28 an upgrade to an LS7 or a C6R racing 427. Plus Prochargers, and Magnachargers.

I forsee me losing a bunch of nights to this game.

i picked up forza last night and played for about 5 hours...im very impressed with the game. stunning graphics and sooo many options!
