"It feels really good," Jamison, of Pickensville, said in a telephone interview with The Associated Press. "It's a good accomplishment. I probably won't ever kill anything else that big."

That line disturbs me. The whole idea behind "Hey that's different and amazing I should kill it" line of thinking is pretty bothersome to me. That's why I can't beleive in notions like Big Foot, or Nessie, cause if those things existed we'd have killed them already for shits and giggles.

So, what is are the laws regarding 11 year olds hunting with handguns? Must be different down south then it is here, because I would swear that it would be illegal here.

I agree with you on this. Why do we always have to kill the one of a kind animals. Man they could have bred that thing and had generations of monster pigs to feed the poor.:rolf

Hogs are hunted year round...many would love to see them erradicated from the region altogether...that'll never happen though. But it's like carp....sure, there are some big ones out there, but that no reason to set it free or to simply try to keep it alive. Especially when it'd be very dangerous to catch a hog that big alive :wow

Yeah I wouldn't want to catch it alive either. I am not a anti hunter or anything like that. I just agree that to many people have that wow thats crazy lets kill it attitude. And screw the kid it took him 8 shots to kill the thing with a .50cal. I can't see a 9ft 1000# animal being hard to track or elusive either.
