Its safe to run a 300 shot on the ls1 motors i find nothing funny about it. All tho you do have to have a really good tune on the motor to run that or it'll blow instantly. I know a few guys running big shots like that on stock blocks. the only sad part is that the only thing done to the car is the 250 shot. now i know from personal experience that the car does lift off the ground but my car has no NAWS its just the aerodynamics of the car. anything above 135 the car doesn't want to stay straight and if its windy forget it.

I thought it was funny the way he was describing it...not the fact that he was running a 250.

Uhh, I don't quite agree with this post...

300 Shot on a stock block may last one or two sprays. We've got SEVERAL guys locally running 150 with a 200 for a while with no problems, but a 300 shot just isn't going to be friendly on the motor. ( Maybe with a progressive controller, so it isn't all introduced at once ) I've personally seen a bent rod from that. I can even see 250 a few times, but the norm is NOT to run a 300 shot on a LS1 as you are asking for trouble.

For the latter comment, I've done 130+ quite a few times in my friends H/C/200 shot WS-6 and had no issues with the front end, and it was with the sway bar removed and the skinnies on. They don't just "magically" lift up off the ground or get uncontrollable. F-Bodies are VERY stable at higher speeds. I've road coursed several of them, so you might want to check your car out, as it should be rock solid at that speed.

I just like the fact that it can fly :goof

I've been in some fast cars, never once have I felt the need to make sure my seat cushion could be used as a flotation device :goof

He might talk nuts but for a low price I will bid on it. Too bad he has a reserve on it.
