Camera question.

I have a cheapie Samsung Digimax 5 mega pixel camera. Why does it keep taking blury pictures? Is there an adjustment I can make to clear it up?

I know it can take good photos because it used to. It seems like it is doing this on outdoor shots mostly.

Before saying that it is a focus problem, how does it do when put onto a tripod or other stable surface? Are the pictures clear or blurry then? And you ONLY have this problem outdoors or is it a majorty outdoor and sometimes indoor?

I should say it's only outdoors. Inside shots turn out nice. I really have never taken a picture with a tripod. I'll try it and let you know though. I will say my hand has always been stable though.

Most people can only hand hold a camera to about 1/30th of a second. My theory behind this is that either your ISO is set too low that it is taking longer than a 30th of a second to take a photo or you have an issue with the shutter being stuck on a slow shutter speed. But before going into too much photo geek talk let me know how it goes with that tripod.

If you don't have a tripod, just put it on timer and set it down somewhere flat.

Are these outdoor shots in late evening/dusk? Low light = blur as well.

is the camera set to Manual Focus and you don't know it?
