Cutty Sark Fire

The Cutty Sark, one of the most famous wooden ships ever built, is on fire over in England. I just heard it over BBC radio where it was described as being "100 percent on fire."

Its a sad day to me because I am big into wooden boats from kayaks to cutters to frigates.

I built a model of this ship about 5 years ago; its a BIG ship! I hope the hull survives the fire so they can at least rebuild it.

Good News: They plan on rebuilding it!

All of the important components such as the masts and rigging were not on the boat. Also, the major structural components survived, not to mention that part of the hull is metal.
