If you don't know by now I'm sort of a SHO Taurus freak, my dad got me hooked about 15 years ago. Something people (especially SHO enthusiasts) always talk about is the SHOGUN, it a Ford Festiva with a SHO Taurus drive train. Well Jay Leno bought #003 of only 7 (for $48,000!!!) back in 1990 and did a piece about it on his 'Jay Leno's Garage' website......

My plan is to make one of those one day.

It won't be one of the original 7, but it will still kick ass. (:

^^As do I, but whenever I see pics of a SHOGUN, all I see is Festiva. For me, it's hard to get past that point.

That's the fun part (I think), in stock form it was rated @ 13.0 on the 'stock' tires. Put some stickys on there and you'll get at least that, with Jay's (125 shot of nitrous) you can at least expect mid-low 12's, or more[/I]. Now I'm personally not a big fan of nitrous but there are a couple of 'real' SHOGUN's that are S-charged/T-charged, can't remember exactly. But now you're talking 400+ HP in a 2200 pound car, and some serious 1/4 mile times......

There are also a few 'homegrown' SHOGUN's that have been built, some are N/A and some are forced induction, but either way I'd love to drive one. To me it's like a go-cart on steriods.....:devil

Yeah you got that right and I used to hate him for that, but after watching a bunch of his segments on the website he really seems like a down to earth person that truly loves cars. A friend of mine was in Burbank a few years ago for a taping of the Tonight Show and stopped at a 7/11 for some gas. Who pulls up is Jay on his Jet Bike, he said hello on the way in and then talked with him for a few minutes about the bike before he left. He said he was so cool to talk to and he didn't make you feel like a nobody.....

Just like a GLHS is still an Omni ;)Yes, my point exactly. Thus my GLHS was called "The Box". It was hard to look past that fact... :thumbsup
