Does anyone know of a excellent shop that can build a 355 LT1 w/ SC or a 383 at a reasonable price?.


Looking into having a build done but I'm just doing some research.

I do!!!! but they might cost you alittle depending what you want to do. but i will tell you there motors are awesome i cant say enough good things about it. I went all out so it cost me more.. Pm me or better yet meet me some where so we can talk like culvers. ill bring my car and we can go over everything. i have done alot of research and have some ideas for another car maybe i could help you out. Let me know...

Ok man. will your car be there. where in oak creek?? You can get a good setup for that.

10k can get you a great setup. If you don't mind ordering I would think about combination motorsports in Vegas. They built my forged 383. Tom(Bad LS1) can vouch for the build quality. With custom JE/Callies/Oliver billet/4 bolt parts it was well under 10k.

I'd like to go the 355 route and go with a ATI SC... Any idea how much you think that would cost? I'd like to have money left over for other things so I dont totally wanna spend 10k on a motor

Well ati had a price hike. What ATI a D1SC? Really depends on if you go with the bolt on kit or go crazy with FMIC and big fuel system. How much power are you looking for? Why not go 383? With a good rotating assembly it will make better lowend before boost and will rev till your valvetrain can't take it. What heads are you planning on?

I havent really did much research. But if a 383 is a better bang for the buck why not.

I looked into a set-up a few years ago at speed inc like Dennis (95TABeast) had...LT1 383, vortech looking for 600+ rwhp. I think it was going to be somewhere between $12-14K.

yeah i guess i did! I like that your still sporting the SLP 2OTL. I still kinda want mine on but when iam done building my X Pipe i dont think i will look back. Yeah i plan on going there if the weather is nice.
