Had a few friendly runs with this truck. Wow..... very mean setup. Is the owner a member of BCM? Did anyone else see this truck on "that road" saturday nite? I think I saw it parked a Cluvers earlier in the evening.

Eh... auto... im not sure how long that will hold up... Would have a greater coolness factor to me if it was a 6 speed reg cab...

It sure was an auto.. For a 4 door 5400# pickup it moved... like a freight-train. The owner was nice and stopped to chat, I guess he bought it built already.

yeah i saw the truck pull into the culvers and park, it looked "stockish" to me, and it didn't seem too special when it was driving i'll have to look at it better next time.

It was stock on the exterior... It did have Venom 1000 badges, I think the owner said it had twin t67's? On the 1000 hp tune it makes 1200 ft.lb's of torque. So yea kinda special

It is probably not stock, when you go to Hennessey’s website it looks like the engine and Trans are built.

Yeah idk... thats more output than most of the hottest street driven cummins's can put out... Prolly only has a 10 WOT run warranty... when the tranny falls out of the truck on the 11th run, too bad so sorry hahahaha

So it is more of a 36 thousand miles or 1 wot run whichever comes first type of warranty

it aint no torqueflight or nothing... thats for sure!Actually, it is.

It's the 48RE, the tranny used on 2006 and prior diesels and v-10's prior to their discontinuation. The 48RE is essentially a 727 torqueflite with an overdive unit built into the tailshaft....

Hennessey says 5300 lb's. I've seen other sites go from 5100lbs. (reg cab) to 5600lbs (quad cab).

Negative --- RWD = Huge tire spin. It also has 20" inch or bigger rims and wide ass tires

IIRC, they are 22" rims stock.

That sounds right, I think it was running stock rims.

5600 pounds sounds a little heavy actually. My 1500 4x4 weighs 5,546 with a full tank of fuel. I put it on the truck scale at work.

Awesome truck, but Hennessy is a huge ripoff artist. Search the web and Viperalley and VCA forums for all the horror stories. Not to mention you can build the same trucks and Vipers for a FRACTION of what he charges. He wants like $225,000 for a Venom 800, my 875 HP cost me under $10K to do. Paulo Castellano makes a 1400 HP TT kit for $20K. Even if somebody wants it turnkey there are numerous other much more reasonablely priced Viper tuners like Heffners Performance.

Well the price on the website says "Call for price" you know what that means... Usually it means "So much I am ashamed to print it and don't want to shock and scare you off without a chance of selling you on it and sweet talking you first". My best guesstimate is since the Viper new is around $90K of that $220K price range so Hennessy's package/markup on the Viper Venom 800 is around $130K it would seem. The truck goes for much less around $40-45 I think new, and I bet the markup he can get away with is much lower on the truck but its also a built motor and more HP so even if you go half the $130K its still over 6 figures maybe more...

Wow, I did not know it was that expensive! Seems you can get the same thing for 1/8th the price with a homebrew route.
