without even looking at the article I'm assuming fords solution yet again was put a bigger blower on it. whatever it is.

Hey if it takes Twin Tornados and a fake blowoff valve.. What does it matter?.....As long as its fast.:thumbsup

No point, just observation.

tuning options will range from a warranted 600 HP V8 to over 725 HP

not enough

thats just insane they're puttin out that much power and it still has a warrenty (600 h.p.) but 725 is pretty nuts, wonder when they'll reach 100?

600 is warranted, 725 is not, im guessing just a tune and a smaller pulley, and at the higher boost level, they dont think the motor can take it

If that's the truth why are they even offering it...? Sorta silly if you ask me.....

thats prob. the reason they aren't offering the 725 under warrenty...so when it does break they don't have to pay for it

But if you were paying 100K for the car would you really take that chance, not me....:durr

a 03-04 cobra with a kenne bell can smack down 630-680 at the rear tires and that motor can take it. There is a car in Indy that laid down 740 at the rear with a kenne bell and a 150 shot, with the stock bottom end!! That 5.4 can take it!!

the no warranty thing is kinda similar to the saleen focus...

from the factory it comes with a wet nitrous kit... when you hook it up, you void the warranty... but if that's the case, why did it come with the kit in the first place?

nice car, bad marketing ideas... lol

Just because the internals can handle mods doesn't mean the engine will make it to 36000 miles without needing a rebuild.

Warranties are odd balls. What could be the weakest link in the engine. For all we know, the biggest issue could be head gaskets or fouled plugs. I do not think that the engine will be throwing rods out the side of the block or the crank will grenade.

BTW- The GT500 weighs over 4000 lbs. How much will the snake weigh 4500?

If I were Shelby, I'd lighten the wagon before trying to make it go faster.

+1 Although they've already got a twin screwed GT500 on ~21psi making 810rwhp. Only mods are what came with the blower if I recall correctly. Longevity? Who knows. But still...800 :D
