Last week when I was getting my tires & wheels put together by Mr P's in Greenfield a Viper GTS was getting his put together also & then mounted.

His new rears were 335/30/20's!

For 20" they look really good.

Did he customize the exhaust to make it exit out the sides? Only the R/T's had the side exhaust on that body style.

Yes but the first few years were nothing but R/T's. The GTS didn't come out until 1996 and it didn't have the side pipes.

Edit: Here's a link that talks about it http://www.edmunds.com/dodge/viper/history.html

I'm just curious to how it sounds with the custom exhaust. It seems odd though as you'd think having the pipes right there would hurt the paint and that it'd be all black from the exhaust. The factory side exhausts I believe always had the black plastic around them.

I wouldnt knock them. These guys were FAR from schmuks. Sure the place looks like absolute hell & then some! :goof But these guys were good. Not a scratch on any of the rims when I was there- Vipers or mine. Shit... thats the last thing I wanted to deal with with all the chasing around for these damned things. They were very very careful with everything including even making sure lugnuts didnt fall to the floor. And they only charge $50 for mounting & balancing.
I'd definately recommend them, as i went there due to several recommending them to me :thumbsup :thumbsup

Nice looking Viper.

I dealt with Mr P's once. The girl that works there or at least did was a ***** to me. Also I was watching the kid that was balancing my tires try to wack my center cap out with a mallet and it was the kind you had to take off with an allen wrench. I was about to go hit him over the head with the mallet he was using. That's why I go to Big Bear.

They did that to the black wheels I had on the Jetta and broke the cap (the center was plastic).

I wasn't a happy camper, I feel your pain.

i wonder what wheels those are... They appear to be HRE 545R's.

20's and rubber- $3,000+
Easily over double that price. $8k would be a better ballpark.

Looks nice though, and seem to fit the car well.

Alot of great cars come from places that "look like hell'! As long as your careful, can find stuff & have proper tools who cares. :headbang
If good cars only came from spotless shops, there'd be very few on the road.
