Any ideas on how I can mount 6 tow hooks in the bed of my pick up? Found a few options online like these (http://www.macscustomtiedowns.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=30) for 13 bucks a pop, looking for something a bit cheaper that wont tear the bed floor.

Just put backing plates under the bed floor. It will be fine

What do you want them for?

I have those, the bed doesn't have hooks and the bed sides are too close to the dancer for straps to work. Hard to explain, but with two bikes in the bed, it wont work unless I have something on the bed floor to strap too.

hmmm......im trying to figure out why it wont because I do it all the time. I put the two bikes in the bed. Put the rear tires on rear-stands. Put a dancer on each bike, connect them together in the middle then to the hooks on the side of the bed on each side. I think you only really need one on each side in the front. I never even strap the rears.......

I'd like to see a photo, because when the bikes are in there the dancers are WAY to close to each otehr to get a tight strap on them, and the sides I would need a strap that is 9-12 inches long.

You have to modify the dancers, you have to shorten them. If you take them to a sewing shop they can do it fast and cheap. thats what I did. I will take a pic next time i load them.

That link you posted is a pretty high price btw. Could you take a photo of your modified dancer? Would like to see it, I hate how long mine are.

Sure, Yes that is overpriced, I think i paid $25 for mine. Just put that up cause its the first site that poped up when i did teh search.

All they are doing is taking the part where the loop is and taking the MAX amount off that you can with your handle bars. You would have to put it on your bike to find out how much this is. Think I took about 8" out of the hook bed sides and over a foot out of the bike to bike side.

I hooks made of pot metal are like 13 bucks a pop at ACE, and then you still gotta buy the hardware and washers and such. What a joke.

I think I am gonna order these things online.

Does anyone do the Spray in Bed liners on here? They want almost 500 bucks to do it at Ziebart, that sounds pretty steep for rubber paint

Try that hurculiner roll in stuff. I used it on my dodge and it turns out just as good if not better then the spray in and a fraction of the cost. Going to be doing the chevy either this weekend or next.
