She needs to read Peter's letters to the the Galations, Thesselonians and Ephesians. Back in the day, the Greek regions were really big into back-door entry.
The letters are concise about what God's will is and how to please Him. It doesn't mention "hate" anywhere.

God destroyed Sodom and Gemorah because it really was a backwards region. Lot asked God to spare the cities. God told Lot that if he found one good person in the cities, he would spare all. Simply put, it did not happen; it's rainin' brimstone n' fire!

If history repeats itself, God would probably destroy the US when there are no more good people. I don't think that is going to happen. I should also mention God's grace. That lady seems to have forgotten about that. Probably, He will just drop SoCal into the Pacific.
