lol so i picked up a 1994 saab 900..2 door hatchback...
was wondering how to check the tranny fluid in it??lol sounds dumb but i'm not seeing a dip stick..lol
has 160kmiles and needs a strut and an alignment...but not to bad of a car...

ugh I hate saabs lol. Alot of people that drive saab's are knobs. Not sayin you are lol but thats why I dont like em.

if its a stick i think you gotta put it in the air and pull the fill plug and stick your finger in there like checking a rear wheel drive diff
its an auto....
not to much of a knob here:)

it may stillhave to be checked by the fill plug i cant remember if that car has a dipstick i dont recall

says how to drain then says check your owners manual for fill procedures wtf and checking level
i also had a message that said check gearbox..according to that site its a sensor on the tranny and is 400bucks!!! WTF??

Buy it used FTW.
i prolly wont keep the car too long anyhow...

Pretty nice forum one of my buddies is on....
when the "check gearbox light" is on the car is SUPER slugish...but if i turn it off and start it back up and the light isnt on it runs great? is there a cheap or easy fix for this problem???

Looks like its a neutral position safety switch on top of the transmission just below the battery. Replacing it seems to be the way to take care of it. Some quoted $500 parts and labor at the stealerships.....you could probably do it yourself.....
