Actually, with the HG he's using, the piston volumes listed from the manufactuer for those JE pistons, Head volumes listed for the AFR heads, and the 3.75 stroke, it came in at 10.500:1....It was thought to get out the burret and measure, but even worst scenario (IE, the piston volume was wrong as I initially suspected) it figures to 9.5:1 based on the original piston volumes I thought it was.

Very happy to see it come together...should be a great quench motor, and a near perfect "street/strip" combo. Good work MARK! :thumbsup

either way I would pretty much have to tape off the same areas....so it doesnt really matter.

How the engine stand/plate work...as advertised, right? :thumbsup

And btw...after getting the pistons in and seeing that there is in fact that the pistons are in fact, square with the deck, your compression ratio now falls in a range of 10.020:1 on the low side if my initial thoughts on your piston volumes are correct, to a high of 11.136:1 if the manufactuer is correct :wow

If you had gotten the 68cc heads, you'd have a 12.0:1 CR!

looks really good Mark! Can't wait to see it back together!
