Anyone running Vista, are you able to watch vids on YouTube? The screen just stays black and says loading, doesnt play the vids. I have the latest Flash player installed. Any ideas?

Its a Dell PC, runs on that one, just not on the new laptop. I thought it was Security settings in Internet options, so I switched it all the same as the PC, still no good.

I haven't had any problems with media player at all. Maybe I am just lucky, but like I said before, mine has worked great and I like it.

Mark my Words...
Windows Vista will be remembered as the second-coming of Windows Millenium Edition.
I ordered 10 new notebooks with Vista for work and sent them back after a week.
It uses 8-9 year old code with a bunch of pretty fluff to make it look like a Mac. Windows Manatee would be a better name, but I think that one is taken.

Office 2007 works great, but complex formulas in Excel take 4x longer on a Vista machine than an XP machine in repeated tests.
No available network backup software, Acrobat has been out for 1 month for Vista, as has a stable Cisco VPN client that will play nice with Vista.
I could not return my work desktop with Vista, so I loaded an XP image on it and tossed the Vista license.
On my personal notebook, I bought the upgrade to Vista Business and uninstalled it after a month of testing.
I will sell the upgrade and help you license it for $100, FYI.

Yeah I can't figure out why people are jumping on the Vista bandwagon so quick either. :confused I'm at least going to wait for a service pack 1, just to make sure they don't drop it like they did ME. I know plenty of IT admins having issues with their Vista boxes. One customer has their boxes sitting in a corner because they don't work. :rolf :rolf

Was the OS pre-installed? Is it Vista approved?

I have it on mine for testing and have only had one minor issue that Microsoft quickly fixed. The big mistake people make is that they put it on machines that are not Vista ready. They may have all the minimum requirements but the machines were never completely tested

I know cisco released vpnclient-beta-rc-5.0.00.0320.exe on march 22 for Vista. I havent heard anything about it if it was not stable though. It is a beta...

.340 is out now and you can find it on rapidshare.
Still drops connections unless you change the transport to UDP.

From the seminars I attended they will not be making any service packs. Just patches. Same with Longerhorn for any of you other nerds out there

Nero wont work because there is a new version out of it called ultimate, so they wont be making a patch for it
