so i was doing some math (scary thought) and i was figuring if i keep driving a dd that gets 10mpg...and i figure to put 15k a year on it.

over 30 year span with gas at 3.00 a gallon i would spend 135k in that time!!!!!

if i had a civic or what not and got 40mpgs i would only spend 33,750 over the same time frame!!!!!

thats a difference of $101,250!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just food for thought...

Get a newer Suburban or Tahoe... Better mileage... The '95-'99 Body gets like 17-18 (for a Tahoe) and the Newer ones get 20+ from what I've heard...

Ok... Buy a Diesel VW and keep it forever (lord knows it'll last that long)... 50+ MPG, and diesel is the same price as regular gas (about) now

How about this:

Back when gas was $1.70/gal, my 5.0 got about 15 average.
I drove about 25k/year, hence $3000/year.

I bought my integra, which is good for about 30 average.
That brought me to $1500/year.

Over a two-year period, it was cheaper for me to buy the integra for its economy alone than for me to continue driving the mustang.

For many people, a car like a civic is the best financial decision.

My mustang is my gas mileage car. the modded 5.0 gets 23 on the highway, my blazer gets like 15-18.
