Was gonna check out a store in southridge today, but the mall was closed for Easter. Anyways, anyone try brewing their own stuff? Did you end up getting into it, or did you just think it was a waste of time?

Been there done that. It's can be a fun hobby and very challenging to make good brew. With equipment, ingredients and supplies it will usually end up costing you as much as buying good beer but you can say you made it yourself.:thumbsup

There is a home brew supply store just down the road from my uncles Deli on 92nd and oklahoma, called the Purple Foot. My buddy gets his home brewing stuff from there, and he loves doing it.

The cleaning is one of the most important parts of the process. Make sure all of your bottles and brewing supplies are cleaned and sterile. If it is your first time try using one of the prehoped kits you can get from the brewing supply houses. I had a lot of fun with it but like any other hobby it is time consuming.
