Softball Players Batting Practice

Sunday April 15 Mandatory Baseball practice. Everyone needs to be at Hamilton High school at 11 o'clock. This practice is needed for the team to decide on what position they would like to play also and for people to pay any fees that haven't paid already. Hamilton High School is located a block north of Forest Home Ave, on 63rd street. We will be playing on the softball field.

I will check on field conditions on Saturday and post if we will still have practice or if we will just go to the cages.

Saturday April 21 Scrimmage at Hamilton High school. Also this will be the last day for registration so No registration no Money equals no playing. Please get me you fees as soon as possible. I would like to get registration in this week if possible.

I will show up for the practices, not sure how long I can stay though, as I work 12 hour shifts on Saturday nights.

With the practice on the 21st though, I can pretty much say I will not be available. I am going down to Chicago on the 20th for my Anniversary, and I will be damned if I am going to pass up some "special time" with the wife that night.:devil

I'll try for this Saturday but my schedule for work is already set.. I get off at 3. As for next week, I'll let my boss know tomorrow and see what can be worked out. How long do you think this will be goin on, timewise?

I went up to Hegan's today, got a few rounds in.
There were a bunch of people there, I was surprised.
I'd imagine it's gonna be packed at noon on a Saturday :0

FYI
Cages are 1 token for 15 balls
$1 = 1 token
$5 = 6 tokens
$10 = 13 tokens
$20 = 26 tokens.

Alright we will Change it to Sunday @ 11 am. The field might be ok to play on depending on if the snow that we get melts by then. Of course we can always have practice in the snow. I know the fields at hamilton are pretty well taken care of even after a hard rain the field usally drys pretty quick but that also depends on if the sun is out.

It will be gone most likely but the fields will probably be sopping wet and crappy. But hopefully good enough for some b.p. anyway. I'm not a big fan of batting cages, for whatever reason.

the only reason i hate the cages is because you cant really tell where or how car the ball will go when you hit it. You get a general idea but you still cant really tell.

I like seeing the ball come out of a pitchers hand, plus using real softballs. Its good to get swings in at any rate, but with softball it doesn't take long to get back into it opposed to baseball. I disliked cages even more back when I actually played baseball.

I dont think we will be playing there again, because you guys were practicing Two guys that hit the crap out of the ball didnt get to hit till you guys were done so I think next practice will be somewhere else.

I heard the coach say they'll be having practices sundays from 11-2, and they'll actually be there at 10 already, so it's kinda pointless unless we showed up at 2.

The only reason why we played at Hamilton was because Ray, Glen and I go there to hit, because it is close and there is a fence to stop ground balls that get past us, most of the time when we hit it is just us three.

The Scrimmage will be at McCarty park next Sunday.

I got fried too. This is the second time I got sunburn, I got it really bad on my forehead and a little bit on my arms and shoulders

Yes sir I will be. Cruise is off, so I won't be missing the game. I'm asked off for during the day saturday to go get some practice in. Figure I'll just hit up a batting cage for a bit.
