Can I assume that the carpet is so new that things leave 'prints'?
Thusly, those arent stains, just a room in need of 'tidying'?
Shoes, paperclips, a sock(?), a gay man's Wizard of Oz puzzle.(Yeah, I 'm sure your girlfriend loves the movie)and a big sticker pinned down by shoes.(I know, I know...you had to straighten it out)
I started your excuses, you finish 'em!

Not a sock, those are winter hats and gloves, paperclip = singular, you've got it right on the Wizard of Oz... And yes, held down by shoes...
And uh, what stains? The carpet in this place isn't that old, I think it was put in right before I moved in... And yes, when you step on it and move it around it does leave prints... Maybe it needs to be cleaned up a little, but hey, we both work... What can I say...

hope you dont have to do the maintenance of any sort on it. those things are a pita for the stupidest shiit... like air filters.. and the whole body is built crappy as hell.. open the hood, grab a corner and pull.. makes the hood and fenders flex.. maybe the stickers are there to help hold it together..

It's not the car I personally would of picked (I actually asked why they don't use Vibes, and it's so they don't flood the market with 'em otherwise that would of been a much better car in my opinion) but it's what they picked...

I respect your opinion but if I was to buy a new or even used vehicle the HHR would be the last one for me, or at least one of the last.....
The areas that immediately caught my attention were: it has more blind spots than sitting in a dumpster, the interior is typical el-cheapo GM small car quality, and the overall ergonomic design of it leaves a lot to be desired.....
Other than that it rides pretty decent, can 'get out of its own way' OK, and looks semi-'cool' from a styling standpoint.....
~~~Just my 2 cents~~~
