Un-Coverd Man hole Vs. My 15" Rota's ( hmmmmm who won this battle ? )

This happened in the city I live in ( cudahy )

Driving to work down Pennsylvania noticed " ohh **** the man hole cover is off and its laying a few inches away from the hole "

Swerve then BAM !!!!!!!!!!

Rear left tire hit and I new I ****ed it up, drove another min to work and there she was :

Instantly I called up the dispatcher telling her to get somebody out here to put it back on before a person hits it with there front tire and gets into a Bad wreck. 40 MPH road :stare

Just got back from the cop shop, showed them the damage and I have to stop back in to talk to the City Hall. Cop agreed with me that I shouldn't be a deal to get reimbursed for a new rim and tire.

If I have to pay for this I will be very angry, but I live in cudahy and pay dam taxes so all should go well.

I dont believe this happens often so I wouldnt ever worry about it :thumbsup

My thoughts on why the cap was off is that all the rain we got most likely over flowed and pushed the cap off.
