judging by the name i know what you're thinking, the slow srt lol, i remember your car, and yeah thats me, well the time we raced the car was damn near stock, and i heard the whine then i knew it was all over, lol, thanks though, and i must say that's one impressive 2v, you should go to the culvers meets they have on hwy 100 every weekend, im sure people will love that car

yeah i guess you could say that, when its gets tuned it'll have twice the stock hp so i think it should be pretty quick, lol

the acr package is nice, but if you're getting a used acr for a new price, you're getting ripped...

hell, i made my 2gn into an acr.. it's not that hard... although the sound deadening material proved really tough to remove :(

I owned a 95 neon ACR (actually, many refered to it as arcra in those days). Was the first brand new car I purchased...got it while in college.

I remember taking it to the track shortly after getting it and running cosisntent 15.8-16.0 in it. Recall, in 95, there wasn't a whole lot in the way of econo cars going that fast bone-stock. People where shocked to find this was bone-stock, and a SOHC at that...gotta love the 3.9:1 gears that the acr's got.

Wish I hadn't had sold it...I got rid of it with 205,000 miles in 2000, as my dad used it when I was living close to campus, and he commuted from suakville to green bay every day. Still ran great. I'd have liked to put an improved upon 2.4 DOHC in there though.

I still get my fwd kicks from my 89 csx though.

yeah he basically hit it on the head

5 way adjustable tokicos
225-45-16 instead of 205-50-17
seats are the same(except those with SRS), just have ACR stitched in and have holes for harnesses
and stickers
with the change in tire size and different suspension i beleive that sit nearly an inch and a half lower than other srts

Whats different about an ACR??On a non-srt, at least for mine it was:

Base neon, base interior...kind of a stripper.
4 wheel disc brakes
14 inch wheels
thicker sway bars
firmer struts/shocks
3.9:1 transaxle vs 3.55:1 stock
5th gear was .8:1 vs .73:1 iirc

You could spot them by the 4 wheel disc, and no fog lamps where there were mounting holes for them.

I don't know what differntiated newer neons though
