well got stated on the nitty gritty.
fixed up some odds and ends in the harness. MAF harness has some splits in wire insulation, fixed the ECU harness , had a "box" wired in to the rear O2 so it didnt throw a code.

Looks like a great car and a fun project! How's the rust on the body since it came from MN?
JakeJeske
04-07-2007, 08:56 AM
there is the rust in typical spots (shock tower, rear hatch). but very minimal surface rust nothing that it all the way through, basically just flaked the paint in some spots.

That black car is f*ckin baaaaad.
Any way to get a less-ricey exhaust on there or is that just wishful thinking?
JakeJeske
04-20-2007, 10:34 PM
ehh, thermal makes a good product, i too just wish the tip was alittle smaller. but id doesnt bother me i have the same exhaust on my FWD red one. looks smaller when it turns black with carbon. hehehe

its been 3 longs day of work and im not only on the home strach im 2 feet away from home plate.
Friday: stripped red car on every thing but 2 motor mounts and the axles.
Saturday: pulled the motor out, did the clutch, put the motor back in. got all the "big" things done like axles and tcase, motor mount etc.
Sunday : finished up with pluming ,mounted intercooler. did the wiring for the 6 bolt motor and for the 3.5bar GM map (thanks nick A).
whats left to do:
-bleed clutch
-get downpipe welded and installed
-trim front bumber
-install fuel pump
-rear camber kit
-fill with coolant
-put 2 interior trim peices back on
then i can say DONE.
looks like this is going to take 1 and a half weekends.
