Here is a vid which shows the process for manufacturing a Ferrari V12.
It starts with the aluminum ingot and proceeds all the way to the final testing.
I found this vid to be exceptionally informative in that it shows exactly how engine heads are cast. I am familiar with investment casting methods, but I had never seen the process carried out on an engine head before.
It makes me want to make my own [4cyl with a displacement of <1000cc]!
