Thanks for all your help loading/towing the car.:thumbsup

I'm glad to say, he's one of the good guys here on BCM.com. For those who already met him, I'm sure you agree. :)

Here's what we towed/rescued:

Very nice... I'm guessing that's the one that needs a trans that you were talkin about?

It also came with the stock SHO rims. It's picture with the winter rims...mmmmmm blizzaks.

Very nice... I'm guessing that's the one that needs a trans that you were talkin about?Yeah, I'll have to dig into it a bit to make sure whats wrong. Could be just a leak from a trans line.

1. Brakes...the rotors/calipers are a rusted badly. The calipers don't look any better. It was parked Jan '06 and has sat since. 2. Trans work of some kind. 3. Serpentine belt...it came off when I started it up for the first time.

Did you say bath?

I could tell that paint looked good under all that grime. Sorry for the girf on the bottom of the spoiler (snagged on a hook for the ramps).

That trans fluid leak is dumping a ton of fluid but I think Scott is right in that it might just be in the cooling lines.

Like I said earlier, glad I could help.

Since it was only $200, I'd like to get it road worthy again. We'll see I guess.

Unless there is some hidden gremlin in there she should be road worthy. If it was dropping cylinders, not engaging any gears at all, etc, etc, I may say otherwise but overall very impressive.

Yeah I'd say that's a deal :thumbsup , however if it needs a trans and you plan on keeping it your best bet is having it rebuilt, and by someone who knows exaclty what to do. Most places just rebuild them to factory specs, and that's why they go in the first place (Ford FWD trannies :flipoff2: ). There are not any 'upgraded' parts to look for but there are small modifications that you can do to make it last/perform much longer/better......

And don't forget about the need for the cams to be welded, cause you'll be looking for a motor if there not yet already and you don't get them done.....

Looks like the transmission leak was indeed the cooler lines. Replacing them today. WooHoo

Good stuff then. I am know transmission specialist but would the transmission not letting the car past 30mph have anything to do with this thing puking fluid everywhere?
