So, it is time for me to move up a bit, and buy something a bit more mature then the Subaru. After much searching we settled on a 2007 Lexus IS350. It pretty much has every single option (except the sports package) you can get on the car. Reason behind not getting the sports package is that it is difficult to find, and that in the end I would rather spend the money on aftermarket suspension items.

Only put on 250 miles since we picked it up yesterday morning, but I really like the car so far. The power is very linear in it's feeling, not like the TBSS or the STi. It is reasonably quick, apparently 0-60 can be 4.9s and 1320 in 13.5 @103mph area from some more recent tests. Not a FAST car, but it is ok for the time being.

Anyways, here are some pics:

Now the paint color is a nice red, it is not a Fire Engine red, but not a dark red. I suppose it is kind of like a Candy Apple Red of sorts.

God no, there is no way I could trade it in. I am planning on selling it privately though. Just not sure when and what to ask for it at the moment.

Ah, nice! I told Kristie that for my next driver I want a BMW 330xi... She just looked at me like I'm nuts when she compared a used one to what we paid for the Fusion new... :rolf :rolf

Yea but you lost your ass already on what it's worth now. Check black book.

I paid under 19k for it and got 13700 (acv) for a '03 Grand Am with 35k on the clock... :rolf Add 0% interest to that equation and I did good...

And it's an SEL, w/Moonroof, and Side Airbags

88Nightmare

so you paid 19k for your fusion? for 3 or 4g's more you could have had the aura with tap shifterzzzzz. you could have been tap shifting that ass in no time :D

Keep us informed on how you like it. An IS350 is going to be on the list when
I start looking later this year/early next year.

Great choice! I'm a big fan of the IS350s. And dont forget about the IS-F coming out next year. With under a grand in mods, guys are running mid 12s with the IS350. Cant beat it for a daily driver. When I get rid of my GS430 I might be lookin' at an ISF if theyre not ungodly expensive. Enjoy the new ride!
