I was bored last night and saw another commercial for Esurance and it got me curious finally since I'm in the market for a new truck and want to compare rates. So I did a quote for our 4-car policy; 1997 GP GTP, 1999 GP GTP, 1989 Jeep Cherokee, 2004 Ram 2500. I have one speeding ticket within the last 3 years and she has one accident within the last 3 years. Good student discount is included. For the 4 cars with above-average liability limits, the premium came out to ~$325/month. I didn't think is was too bad considering I'm a 21 year old single male and she's a 20 year old single female.

Her policy expires at the end of April and I was seriously thinking of trying out Esurance for the price. I'm just sketchy of the whole internet insurance thing because I don't know anyone who has used or uses it. Anyone here?

I've had them since July '06.
Haven't had to make a claim yet though.

American Family quoted me like $94, with craploads of discounts, multiple car/house/etc. (using my mom's home address)
Esurance, on my own with no discounts, $105/mo.
It was actually $129/mo before I turned 30, I didn't know rates went down when you turned 30? Not complaining :D

One reason I took Esurance, is that they offer aftermarket parts insurance.
Rims/exhaust/intercoolers/whatever you have that's not OEM, it's covered.
I got like $2,000 worth of aftermarket insurance for an extra $5-10/mo or something cheap around there.

I didn't find anything negative about them when I researched.
Claims were made/paid, etc.

Hope I never have to find out :)

Here's my stance:

If I see another one of their goddamn commercials, I'm going Al-Qaeda on their asses.

They seriously make my skin crawl.

:D

I hate the commercial with the monster cutting down trees for those "other insurance companies" that still issue paper bills and shit. Then they continue on with their douche baggery and say "quick, lets jump in the hybrid" and they speed off over the horizon like its a top fuel dragster. They can go to hell.

i remember seeing on the news that people were complaining about those commercials because they claimed that the girl was too seductive and that they were trying to sell something other than insurance, some crazy evangelicals were behind the complaining. my cousin uses them and he has no complaints, his rates were considerably cheaper than who he had before, not sure what the previous company was.

:rolf :rolf I have Am Fam... What I like about Am Fam is that you can go in and talk to your agent. Kristie HAD PGAC and when she went to cancel it they wouldn't do it... And it's not like there was an office anywhere that she could go to, to cancel...

I like AmFam, but the rates are a bit high and they do not insure sport bikes, at all.

they do insure sport bikes they told me, but its not cheap. you have to have either 10 years with a drivers license or 5 years with a motorcycle license. This is just what i was told, Since i just got a bike today.
