and I hear these guys talking about their friends new body style GTO that runs 10s at 180 mph. This is when I jump in. I told these douchebags this was not possible and tried explaining why. So one guy gets on the phone with his buddy cause I told him to call the guy because I wanted to know every mod this guy had on it. I wanted to know if it was stick or auto. The guy says it is a manual with paddle shifts on the steering wheel. Yeah, right. Now he's got two bottles of NOS. The guy doesn't know what shot he has but he knows it's alot. Yeah, right. He doesn't know what kind of gears or supercharger he has either. And apparently he spent 8-10g's having this car built so you'd think he knew every f*ckin detail about it. So I bet this guy $500 over the phone that his GTO couldn't go over 180mph in the 1/4. I told him I will only go to GLD where it is safe and timed so he can prove himself. This morning I get a voicemail that this guy also has a Cobalt SS that can go 225mph in the quarter mile!!! Any takers on that bet? He'll race for cash or titles... :durr

if it's blown and sprayed it should be in the 9's, and currently there is one ls1gto.com member in the 9's.

the rest of the modders are low 10 - low 12 second cars. then a few stock stragglers in the 12 second range

The only 9 second new GTO i know of is BMR's.Don't remember all the mods. but i remember he had a big shot of NOS.
the only Cobolt's that run close to 225 mph are the one's that run in the NOPI series.
