I will say that the LT1 has good midrange. on those short little runs, I can't get too far away, a car or two to 60 isn't much in a short run. i do like the sound and tone of your LT1's though. strange how our V8s sound so different.

and wikked, i feel your pain man, my camera has to be PERFECTLY still in night mode to get a picture of something that even resembles a car, i've got a D40 FWIW, i originally bought a D50, but the lens that came with it broke, and when i took the lens back they said they don't manufacture the lens separately, so they switched the body of my D50 for a brand new D40, the D40 and D50 are the same camera, just the D40 weighs less and is a little smaller:D
