Well, I went through my alternator and cleaned it up and it's working great now. But now the bearing is humming a little bit.


What can I do? Anything? Or am I screwed?

Electrical cleaner into the alternator.


I know thats probably got into the bearings and caused my problem.

If you washed the lube out of the bearing it won't last long. If you know how to take it apart you can probably get a replacement bearing through NAPA. Look it up on their website. Otherwise you will need a new alternator soon or find a alternator shop to do it.
