This is a 1991 Chevy S10 2wd short box. It has a BRAND NEW 2.5L 4 cyl (just fired it for the first time today), and a 5 speed. New wheels and tires, new battery, and new hoses. The truck is in good shape, and would be a good dd, parts hauler, or lowrider project. It belongs to a friend of mine, and he spent $1200 on the motor, and $600 on the wheels and tires.

$1800.00 OBO

Here are the pics. as you can see, we are still finishing it up. The hood, bumper and front fender will be back on. The pass. front fender is a new one, and is not currently painted.

It is a 5 speed, and I do not think he wants to seperate, but I will mention it to him. We drove it around today, and it drives great.

Find out of those rims are 15's.

Then if they are, buy the truck and I'll give you the rims off my blazer.

Those wheels are just what I'm looking for.

Can I get the guys contact info? This is a great deal, I cant pass it up cause it has ugly wheels on it. Also, what does the truck need? It runs and drives straight and what not?

Just some ugly 14" 1st gen s10 wheels. The only wheels I would take in trade are 2001-2002 16" ZQ8 Wheels

I'll sell these wheels for 200 but you gotta take the tires off and get them back to me. Hows that sound?

I finally got his contact info and called him, sounds like there is rust on the bed, back of the cab, and some on fenders. Hard to tell in the photos though, as soon as I can find a ride to Beloit to look at it I am going to.

Body isn't too bad on this truck, lots that the photos don't show though. The 'brand new' motor has been sitting for a year and a half, and it has an awful amount of lifter noise. Its a base model, no options no power steering etc. Not a bad truck if you can tow it home and go over the top end but I left it in Beloit.

I adjusted all the lifters last night per factory specs, and now there is no tick. New motor, less than 200 miles on it, adjustments are necessary. Kind of crappy of you to leave him hanging for an hour while you were on the way back to Milwaukee.

I just bought a 91 sonoma last year with a brand new 2.5 for 600 bucks that was in the same condition.

It is not my truck, I cannot control the price that he wants for it.

We told him we were going to grab some food and think about it, at no time did I mention we would be coming back. Kind of crappy for you to post an ad and not get back to me with any contact info for over a week either, if you want to be shitty about it.

Are you his mechanic? If so, for some reason or another you can't down shift into 2nd. It goes smoothly into 1st - 3rd but can't go DOWN into second which I thought was wierd. Just so you know if you are indeed his mechanic. If the lifter's weren't ticking as bad as they were I might have brought the truck back for 1200.

I got the motor running and tuned for him, not really his mechanic. I did not know about the second gear thing. I did not get back to you immediately because he was in the midst of rewiring the phone lines in his house, and did not have the ability to take calls for a few days.
There were a couple of rockers that were out of wack, but once properly set the tick went away.
