after poping the diff cover off today i am still wondering how the hell the car is still moving. it is so fvcked up. i maybe have a couple days of driving on it yet if that. so let me know if you have a COMPLETE READY TO BOLT IN 10 BOLT!

Look if you want the 10 bolt I will install the gear back in the housing. It will only take about 1 hr to complete the install. The gears were remove because another guy like yourself just wanted the gears. But didn't come to get them. I will installed the gears when you are sure that you want. With the gears out you can see what you are buying. For the whole rearend I need 300.00. call me at 414-517-1584

Why spend 3k? A bolt in moser can be had for at or around 2k. Hell theres even some on ls1tech that pop up for under 2.

i dont have enough money to get a 12 bolt right now. plus it would be pointless in my opinion cause my car isnt gonna be running any faster than low 13's or seeing sticky tires. i just need something quick.

Slols1 tore my rear end apart today. found out the pinion bearing had horrible wear on it. i'll try to get pics of the progress posted. the new 10 bolt will be goining in tomorrow thanks to juicedimpss for the 10 bolt.

how does an auto LT1 car completley joggle out the rear end? Im still confused cuz my 10 bolt lasted a while with the right precautions on slicks, 6 speed and 400rwhp....

heres what i'm thinking when i bought the car the dealer got it from an auction. so i'm thinking someone blew the rear end the dealer bought it for dirt cheap and rebuilt the 10 bolt. cause when i first got the car i had all the fluids changed. thats when we saw it was new. after slols1 tore it apart he found the pinion bearing was destroyed. i looked at it and saw it said timken on it so that just proves it was replaced. i think someone messed up on the rebuild.

Just get a gear set and bearing set anda SOLID CRSUH SLEEVE and put it together. Your not gonna find a cheap whole 10 bolt.

i wasnt sure if those came in it stock or not but... it was definatly rebuilt right before he got it. it had fresh paint on the ring&pinion, and fresh silicone on the cover. also if you look at the wear pattern on the pinion you'll notice that it was definatly walking around in there! the diff. pin had a nice grove worn into it as well.

and i already put another 10bolt in his car so he should be set for awhile... unless he decides to put some sticky mickeys on it:devil

:rolf be careful who he bs's... a 10 bolt is a 10bolt... lt1 or ls1.... style well the '99 and ^ style 10bolt has a slightly better carrier.

i think the heat seeker is right. he thinks the donut gasket is shot. i was on ls1 tech and it seems to be a common problem a lot of people are explaining the same symptoms as mine is doing. i'll get her in the air tomorrow and bang around to see whats rattling. if i cant figure it out then i guess it will have to pay a visit to ron.
