Well today I'd thought I try my new Fuel PSI gauge to see if my fuel pump is going.
So I dont know the stock flow numbers for the LT1 fuel pump but maybe someone does..

42-43psi at Prime

31-32psi Running

40psi max when reving the motor.

When I turn the car off, all the fuel pressure is gone and I know theres supposed to be some pressure there.

Does it sound like I need a fuel new pump?
If I do this might be why I have a stumbling problem.

Fuel filter is brand new BTW.

Yes fuel pump has a check vale inside to hold pressure for re-start. Also that running pressure is too low, should be like 47psi, will have to look in my factory service manual, but I do know that if the fuel pump was replaced and they did not put clamps on the short hose it will lose pressure more above idle, and after start, thats my trouble shooting sign and I see this all the time in my shop. A friend, or a small non F-Body shop replaces the fuel pump, either does not install clamps or does not tighten the factory alligator clamps tight enough as they do not have a tool, and it has the symptoms you describe... hope this helps

hell no, thats more work for me to do... I think thats the best thing to do for the F-bodys in not having to drop the tank.

I cut a hole in mine... but you got that metal tank... so to get your sending unit out your gonna have to just about pull the tank or just about cut out the entire floor in the back in a big "L" to get it fanangled out.

Plastic tank 99+ LS1's just need a 6" by 6" square to get the sending unit ou, straight up and out.

Good luck.
