Yet another Laptop question!!! Minimum requirements for internet?

What would you consider to be the minimum necessary hardware requirements for a laptop that will basically be used for internet only? Thinking of grabbing a cheapy off of FleaBay. Thanks-Dan

meh, any really cheap laptop can view the internet.

512 megs of ram, just so you can open shit without waiting forever.

indeed. 2 years ago i was using a 120mhz NEC laptop when i went on trips. had a network card for it.

any new laptop will get you surfing the net pretty good. i was shopping for the same thing a few months back. i picked up a compaq and love it. it doesn't have tons of memory but that is what i have my desktop for. the guy at best buy tried to get me to buy the more expensive one,but like i told him i have a desktop for all my music and pics.i paid 600 bucks after a mail in rebate of 100 bucks i think.

I got a Toshiba that is very nice and has a dvd/cd burner in it and I paid $450 on sale at Best Buy about a year ago. Look around and make sure you get something of quality.
