down in the port of houston, there were two of these coming in waiting to get picked up by the cranes. they were Catepillar C32 engines. I believe they are 32 liter V8 diesel engines, rated at like 1100hp or somethin crazy. They are going into some heavy duty mining trucks. I took these pictures standing up at eye level and had to hold my camera up higher to get this perspective (just so you guys know, the engine is taller then me)

lol dude i was runnin for cover. and joe, i drove my silverado.

it was real creepy. We were driving along, and since it was a two lane road, I had to be infront of him by law, so we're cruisin, and it just started downporing. If you look in the arkansas pic, it was rainin so hard, i wouldnt have been able to see that white fence. then the sky just turned super dark. so dark it made my auto headlights kick on :wooo and then the winds came. started blowin my truck around on the road and i was fightin to control it, and then the ol boy yells out stop the truck stop the truck!

I throw it in park, take my keys and start runnin towards the semi and hes like we gotta get away from the road and we ran inside this gas station. it wasnt an extremely close call, but the tornado was in the field about 2 football fields away. didnt do much to us, but it sucked a 12 pack of soda out of the bed and so far I have counted 3 cracks in my windshield :flipoff2:

Anywho after we got back on the road, the sky was almost blue. there was no wind, no rain. it was really weird. we drove on another few miles, and the sky turned black again. this time I was almost crappin my pants. I was layin ontop of my steering wheel staring up at the sky, just watching. the clouds were doin some creepy ass swirling stuff and it looked as if there was another tornado to the south of us a few miles away, but I wasnt sure. But then when we got into texas, it was confirmed:
http://www.cnn.com/2007/WEATHER/02/25/arkansas.storm.ap/index.html

we made it through that town just one hour before that happened :wow

The storms in Arkansas were part of a massive system that also caused blizzard conditions in the Midwest. Snyder said weather forecasters told him the storm packed winds estimated between 158 and 207 mph.

I don't want to say I want to experience it, but it would be cool to see what you saw. I just want to see the storm come to a dead silence and then safely see a tornado. -Nick.:shades
