Why not just buy a T-top camaro instead of hacking up a hard top!?!?!:confused

Yeah, my father hates T-tops. They're not as structural, and it's something else to hassle with.

Anyone know the weight difference?

My brother has 2 donor 4th gen t-top cars at his salvage yard. I was one step from doing it on my 94, bought my Cobra vert instead. I seen a walk through step by step set of directions someone put together on f-body.com, it did not look that hard at all. Once you start cutting, you hit the point of no return. Its fairly simple cause your cutting into SMC panels.

The only part I could see someone having trouble getting right is when you have to finish paint a couple spots. I had my parts car set aside ready to go for it, couldn't get myself to cut into that purdy black roof.

FYI, I have seen t-top conversion kits put together by various people on ebay.

after seeing the pics of that camaro with a targa top, i'd pay someone to do the conversion. no way in hell will I cut my top up.

If anyone considers doing this, I have almost everything you need for a full conversion. I've seen the walk throughs on numerous sites and it seems pretty straight forward, was going to do it on my 98 Formula before I sold it.
