Is overheating a problem I need to address? Recently been putting together a home theater setup for my room, and It seems like this thing is getting really HOT! Anyone ever have this become a problem?

That is pretty common. espically if you have been playing it near max volume for a while. Nothing really to worry about. Just make sure you don't put anything on top of it so the heat has somewhere to go.

thanks guys..Guess Ill take the DVD player off the receiver, you can smell it, it gets so hot
Ideally you should have 3" or so between components if you want to stack them.

Depending on the brand you have it may have an Impedance switch on the back- if you do make sure it is set to the higher of the 2 settings. 6 Ohms or 8 Ohms. It will lessen the current and bring the temp down.

You might want to take it apart and air dust it too.
