I am sure some of you have heard that the Grand Prix is done as of 07 and the car replacing it is the G8. Well just like the 04-06 GTO it will also be built down under. Anyway it will be here in early 08 as a 4dr RWD with a v6 standard and and the GT will have a LS2. Trans options will be 5 speed auto at first then a 6 speed auto and manual will follow.

I am involved with this website G8BOARD (http://g8board.com/forums) and I am inviting you all to come check it out and maybe if you like what you see you will give us a plug;)

I do not own this board but I am very good friends with Jon and I am a moderator on ls1gto.com. So come on over for a visit. But remember that this is your home and loyalty to this site comes first!!!

Thanks Dan

Its going to be just like the GTO. Lots of power bad styling. Would of been cheaper for them to just keep the GTO cause the G8 is not gonna sell very well either.

LOL We were the first to release the G8 info just like we did a ls1gto.com. I know there are haters out there and the GP clubs have clubG8.com. I am not looking for positive or negative feed back here, Just a visit thats all.

Not to be a **** or argue on the internet about something but yes, ClubGP.com was the first. You will just have to trust me on this. Heck, just take a look at how much info and what is being talked about on www.clubG8.com compared to the other smaller sites out there. Not being a hater, just getting the truth out there. :thumbsup

We have Aussie links, members of press, and MANY people directly linked to the program via ls1gto--to g8board.com

doubt clubg8 has that.

bunch of upset grand prix owners over there...

heres some great posts...

3.6 v6 to small
or
6.0 v8 to big

where is the 5.3 v8 w/ cylinder deact. = cheaper, better fuel mileage, better daily driver!

ORIGINAL: TastyBake

Talk about never satisfied.[8D]

3.6 = Nice...about time.

5.3 = Good residence.

6.0 = MPG + power gets a nod of respect, even though it is too big.

7.0 = The point where the marketing and design team stopped communicating.

8.4 = The point where the designers threatened to blackmail key GM players.

real imformed over there. I read around over there for a few, nobody knows anything.

I think you would be surprised who post on ClubGP/G8 ;) :shades

Plus, why wouldn't ClubGP take over as the G8 main message board, it is pretty much the next Grand Prix. :D

I love the G8 and I think it will sell way better then the GTO. The styling is more aggressive, which apparently is what people want. It has 4 doors, which most people want. And it has a trunk you can actually fit stuff in. It easily competes with the Charger.

It's exactly what Pontiac needed. And hopefully by the end of the year I can put some money down on one.

And +1 to you for it. I also think the G8 will be awesome. I wanted a GTO but can't like without a 4 door. This will fit the bill perfectly. I am just going to wait a year to pick one up.

Good...anything RWD and powerful is a step in the right direction :) . That said, I hope these help lower the prices of 04'-06' GTO's so I can snag an orange 06' in a couple years much lower than they currently.

They say the V6 will be around $25k like a Prix. The V8 GT will probably be @ $30-$35K I'm guessing.

Isn't the V8 version of the Camaro going to be that much?
