well i put the center counsel together on my car today. and i had a valve cover that i bought so i painted it.now i know my car is red and not orange.but i think Orange looks bad-ass so whatever. plus ive never seen a DSM with a Orange Valve cover. did this in under 1 hr.

polish the lettering

you should have gotten it powdercoated. powdercoating for that could be done for like $40 or $50 bucks, and they could have left the letters uncoated and polished for a sweet effect. but for being a garage job, it looks good!

have it sandblasted and powdercoated FTW. Black lettering along with everyone else +1 The rattle can spray bomb won't hold up well most likely unless you prepped the surface really well before you sprayed it

x2........I had my Mini-Ram glassbeaded, painted & spraycoated & looks & feels indistructible!! Nice & glossy, smooth finish that no finger prints will stick to. Unlike any other aluminum casting would, it will not incur any spec of dust brought to it. I still haven't put it on yet to determine the heat resistant level, but the coating is rated to withstand a ridiculous amount of heat. Burrie Sandblast in Waukesha did that all for me, if you want pics I can show ya. $75 for all that work & about a weeks time.

Or he's a bronco's fan! bwhahaha

Id maybe strip it down and prep it better and take your time in between coats, it looks kinda lumpy all over and dark around the lettering like its thin.

Bare alluminum turns out awesome when using a rattle can...

Not trying to sound like a **** or anything lol but also ditch the idea of blue letters! take a scotch brite pad to the letters or sand paper after... no blue , bare alluminum! haha
