There doesn't seem to be many on this forum, that kind of goes for the Milwaukee area as well. There used to be a few nicely modded ones around, but I haven't seen them in quite a while. Give us some details/pics of yours.

Sure, my name is Pody(pronounced like 'Cody') and I have a '92 3kgt. For the last 2 seasons I've done nothing but drag race at GLD, Byron, ect. I've broken just about ever part imaginable, over and over again. It seems the 6000 RPM launches are killing my car.:rolf This year I'm going to try to focus more on Road Racing at Road America and Blackhawk farms. Here's some pics:

I was running high 12's before the crank went again. That's on only 10 psi of boost. If I had bigger injections I could have went to 18-20 psi, and I'm sure it would have cracked the 11's. If you plan on doing a lot of racing, I would say you should count on working on it every weekend, and definatly have a daily driver besides. It truely is an awesome car when it's not breaking.....Like I said, I think drag racing every week was killing it, so I've decided to go to road racing instead. I know someone's going to say I'm crazy for that, but at this point I'd rather be replacing suspension parts than engine parts....

I'm not really sure yet. I've only been on the track at Road America once, so this will be a learning year for me....

Auto-x is a nice way to becoming a better driver. An autocrosser makes a good road racer, but a road racer does not make a good autocrosser.

I've only been to wai events, but scca and midwestern council sports car club also host events around Milwaukee.

I've wanted to take lessons at Skip Barber for awhile, but I've never gotten around to it.

Yea, I ran a few autocrosses last year...it was a blast, but it just killed me that you spend the ENTIRE day there for a combine 5 minutes of actual driving time....

Pre Viper I had a bunch of them and a bunch of DSMs. Jeff and I have been running side "shop" specializing in them for around 5 or so years now. We have done a lot of work on many of the faster ones around here including Jack's and Jesse's. Couple of pics of mine are on my site www.milwaukeemopar.com. Welcome to the site!

I think I have one of your hand me downs Jim. I think it's your old gvr4 909/1000, I replaced the eclipse with it before it started snowing. Welcome to the board, and that’s a vary sweet vr4. :thumbsup

i may not have the track time that you have dave, but i've had a few sessions with some pros... probably still not at your ability, but knowing the proper line is 1/2 the battle... hitting it is the other 1/2... lol

Yeah I hear ya on that. Yes, cones in parking lots may make you a better driver, but I have a.d.d. and can't stand sitting there all day for hardly any driving! Not too mention my car is a bear to drive fast on such a tight course with no power steering and the scca classes me with full racecars anyway:D
