If its not screwed up it's definatley NOT GOOD for the AWD system.....

Is the towing company responsible for any damage that might be caused...???

I actually called a buddy of mine on this, and it is a viscous center diff that will allow for towing the way you guys have seen it, that is as long as speeds are kept under 15mph there should be no heat-related issues and if taken above 20mph but kept below 35mph it can be towed like that for approx 10-15 miles...

The tow guy used the recommended method of towing with lifting the rear wheels off and not rolling the car at all in the process...

For flat-bedding the car (that is if you have access to the interior and can take it out of gear) there is a retractable tow-hook that is used to pull it up and onto the flat-bed... Bigger issue is getting a flat-bed that allows for such shallow ramping...

Actually, he just called me back, and you should not take it above 15 mph in any circumstance with the front wheels like that... So 15mph is the max limit towing with the rear wheels lifted...

I don't know if I buy that statement....viscous center differentials don't play nice with 2 wheels on the ground and 2 wheels off. Short distance or not, the method in which the car is being towed is not correct which in turn should inflict some damage to the center diff.

I believe the real issue here is when an AWD car is illegally parked and access to the interior can't be obtained to put the car in neutral and pushed/pulled out of the way. Ignorance probably prevailed in this particular situation. They "assumed" the car was RWD...it was probably in gear and the door locked...they needed it moved so they lifter the rear and pulled it out of the way. No regard was given to the drivetrain etc....

He can park anywhere he wants, doesn't mean the car will still be parked there when he returns :)

The reason I thought the car was rwd at first was because I googled gallarado rwd, and a few pages came up. After looking at them further, I found this.

Here's Edmunds page on an 05 Gallardo.

95 TA Beast, does your friend have any fun cars due to him knowing that?

Reading through this page is comical. Here are some notes from articles, oldest to newest.

Rendering of Lamborghini's next-generation 700hp Miura"

"Lamborghini is said to be planning three new cars - a new coupe, and Enzo competitor, and an SUV"

"Lamborghini commits to SUV; may still build Miura..."

"Report: Lamborghini Miura will not be built"

It is still a bad ass car, I think they have produced more of Gallardo's than any other model.

I don't know why that car was towed, I was there on Sunday prior to it being towed and it did have a permit on it for that particular place in the infield. You have to get by several parking attendents to get to that spot.
