around 100-120,000 it will need an opti, and a water pump is good to do at the same time.

I'm surprised the LSx guys haven't chimed in to say the best way to fix an LT1 is go LSx.:goof

Oil leaks from the backside of intake manifold- these were weak spots from the factory.

Oil leaks, like John stated.... Optis can go bad, waterpump, coil. Also check the suspension, like is it sloppy.
Basically look at everything like you would do to every used car you would buy.

When the miles get high, intake manifold gaskets leak oil, pinions seal leaks, tune up is probably needed, since knowone ever wants to do one.
As long as coolant and oil are good, and it doesn't have a misfire, thats a good start.

That would be the clincher for me!:durr If it cant handle that baby shot, i dont want it! There is a 302 Lincoln out there that has had a 300 shot on it for a year + now and survived nitrous backfires.... Id look for one them instead!
