Might buy my old car back

I sold a guy a mustang last year around march for $7500.
The car was nice motor done 375whp 505whp on the bottle, but the body needed some attention.

Well the other day I was looking through our local car rag and saw my car for sale for 8k. I called the guy up (didn't tell him who I was) and questioned him about the car. It sounded like he read right off the sheet I gave him that listed the mods. Asked him where he got it and he was totaly honest, and even said I was a cool guy.

In the last year he put all new weather strip, did the bodywork, installed new headlights, rebuilt the rearend 3:73 gears, and putin a 4 core radiator. Lat time he had it @ the track he ran a 13.0 on motor, then a12.0/11.99 on the bottle.

I asked him how much, $6500 because he sold the trailer. I might buy it back.
If he'll give it to me for 6k it would be like he paid me 1500 to work on my car and drive it around for a year. And this isn't some kid who beat the car. He is an older guy who barely drove it, was a project for him and his 10yr old kid.

Said he was selling it to get some 4 wheelers. I had about 14k in the car when I sold it. He said he stuck around 4k in it since he's had it.

Should I buy it back?

I'm not broke. I just would rather get rid of the wrx and have more desposable income.

This car is my daily driver get 23mpg on the freeway. Just flushed radiator last week and changed thermostat, also has 3 core radiator, new radiator cap also.

I only use Mobil 1 in it every 3k. I drove this car all over when we evacuated and never had any problems.

I have run a 12.60 in the car with a really bad 60' with some gears it should go into the 11's.

Only reason I am thinking about selling is I want a new Saleen so it is one or the other. The car is located in New Orleans, Was not here for the hurricane. I can deliver to any airport for gas money and a plane ticket home.
