did they seal it in a chamber or just cover it in dirt? if so, that would be cool!

they are talking that the car could be a big pile of rust when they unearth it.

yea... nothing is airtight when buried for 50yrs.
Especially with the methods used in 1957.
At least there won't be any wear & tear :goof

I'm voting with the "pile of rust" group. I hope it's not, but chances are that vault cracked somewhere and water/moist air got in. FUBAR

No salt though, I don't think it will be too bad.

Would suck if it filled up with water, haha

When in 2007 are they planning to dig it up and see how everything survived?

in the video it shows them spraying insulation, I'm sure the thing will be spotless when it comes out, It's under a sidewalk so I dout water got into there

I think it will be in pretty good shape, but surely will have some rust issues...

Best part is they put in a case of Schlitz beer :D.

And just think, the person who wins the car....might have a pristing car, or a big pile of rust and some stale cigs.

"As part of the "Tulsarama!" festivities, citizens of Tulsa were asked to guess what the population of Tulsa would be in the year 2007. The guesses were then recorded on microfilm and sealed in a steel container buried with the car. When the car and artifacts are excavated, the person whose guess is closest to Tulsa's 2007 population is to be awarded the Belvedere"

Great, another 80 year old dude behind a 6000 lb car
