all the local weathermen called this storm on Thursday, they originally said it was supposed to come monday morning though...glad it's here early. I called the snowmobile trail hotline- THE TRAILS ARE STILL CLOSED!!!!!! WTF!?! screw 'em, I'm still going out! (humming "catch me ridin' dirty" to myself):rolf

One thing that I find neat about these weather systems in the mid-winter is that the air tends to warm up when we get snow. I had been listening to the radio forcasts for the past two days and the temp forcast kept increasing with the snow accumulation forcast.

I went out to Greenfield this morning and saw about 10 accidents on the way there. One of these occured right in front of me. A guy in a civic was changing lanes when the rear end of his car spun on him. He got about 270 degrees before he hit the inside median wall on the freeway. My mom was driving and probably missed him by a foot or two. Luckily, she was going about 30 mph when this happened, so she got out of the way easily.

I saw a shitload of people riding snowmobiles in the Tichigan/Big Bend/Waterford area just now when I drove through. There was a lot of tracks on the trails as well.
