Hello everyone -

A number of us have shared information and created a little email list for meeting and then cruising down together to a car show or other related event. We are always looking to add to the list so send me a PM if you are interested. Last year, we all met and cruised down to the Gurnee, IL car show. Look forward to seeing everyone at the next get together cruise in 2007 (Dates below - Details, logistics and other information to be sent via email to the guys who want to participate). I have listed the cars who plan on attending below.

2007 dates are as follows:

Dates:
(1) Friday - June 15, 2007 - Meet & Greet Cruise the Gurnee Car Show
This first event will be a meet and greet for group introductions and to get to know everyone.

(2) August 2007 - Generac Power Weekend - Road America Champ Car Race
Depending on what the group wants to do, we will either attend the Generac 500 / American Le Mans series race Saturday or the Generac Champ Car Grand Prix Sunday.

(3) September 2007
- Fall Cruise 2007 - Date TBD (Open to suggestions on where to go)

This is going to be a good time. I just thought I would share it with the members of this forum. So, if any of you are interested, just send me a PM. I did not include the whole list, but our expectation for the fJune 15, 2007 meet and greet is at least 100 cars on the cruise plus meeting up with guys at the show.

I have to put the word out on the forums to get this thing together. No sure how else to do it unless you have a better method. If so, please let me know as I am always willing to listen. Members from this forum attended last year's get together. It has just gotten that much bigger. It takes a little effort to put this thing together.

Rather than calling this spam or bashing me, why not check it out for yourself this year. Who knows, you may see cars and meet quality people along the way. If you do not want to join, that is fine. All I can tell you is that the vast majority of the guys on the list are coming, and that is not the complete list. The only reason that I post the cars is so you get an idea of the types of cars/people that are joining in. I also listed the some of the names in case you may know a guy or two and may want to join.

This is the only forum that I have guys bashing this idea. In fact, if you feel you have a fast car, please by all means bring it. Just trying to get everyone together to have a little fun - No harm in that in my book.

Hello all:

My name is Joel, a fellow Milwaukee native, and an avid auto enthusiast. I have attended many cars shows and car related events. A year ago, I went down to meet a friend in Gurnee, IL to go to the Firday night Gurnee car show. I could not believe how many guys attended that show, plus the quality of cars. So, a few weeks later a few friends of mine and I went back down (NSX, Porsche 911 TT, LG Z06). Along the way to the show, a guy passed me on the freeway in a Heritage Edition Ford GT. He followed us to the show and pulled in next to me. We got to talking and we both agreed that it would be great to schedule a few cruises that we could all drive together to. We scheduled one last August (There is a thread on this forum with pictures). A few members attended from this site (Jason, Todd, Chad, to name a few), and we had twenty cars go down on the ride and we met about fifteen others there. Please feel free to ask them about it. It was a lot of fun, Z06's, Corvettes. Vipers, NSX, Prosche TT, Z28's, Trans AMs, CTS-V's and Mercedes Benz AMG's to name a few. That is how this all started.

So, since this time I have been working on adding interested people to the list. I have had a pretty unbelieveable response. The best part about the cruises are we have all different kinds of sports cars together. Plus, better than the cars, are all of the people that you get to meet.

The cars listed above plan on attending. I am sure not all of them wil be able to make June 15, 2007. But, everyone has already marked their calendars on the list for the dates mentioned above, and if the weather is nice, I can see over 100 cars cruising down to the Gurnee Car Show and grabbing a bite to eat after. This does not include all of the guys I know from IL, IA, MI, IN that will join us at the show and we can go somewhere else. I invite all of you who are interested in participating to come along.

I am not going to abuse this forum. I view myself as an addition to the BCM Family, I just need to get to know you guys a little better. Hopefully, that will be on June 15, 2007 or at another event (Maybe at Stay Tuned or something else that was in the pictures on this forum). As I keep you informed, I hope that you will do the same for me.

I think Grant is looking for another car to add to the 350Z. Saw him a few weeks ago on it and he mentioned it. Not sure what kind he is looking at.

Get that 240 ready to go in June 2007.

I have one going into the shop for a few items as well. My EBCM went out on my 2002 LG Z06. Not fun.

If you want to be added to the list, please send me a PM with your email, make/model/year of car. The list is well over 300 at this time. If 50% of the people show, we will easily be over 150 cars.

For the members that will join the cruise from WI to IL, we will meet at the Milwaukee County Park & Ride Lot - http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/travel...e/d2/pr4030.htm (Lot 40 - 30) in-between 6:15 PM and 6: 45 PM. We will then leave the park and ride lot and go to the Gurnee Car Show at promptly 6:45 PM, following each other in a line down the freeway. As I mentioned above, I will send out a subsequent email message to everyone as we approach this date with more logistical information. Within this email, I will also create a spreadsheet with everyone who is joining the cruise. Given that timing is important for this event, it will be critical that you inform us if you attending. Obviously, the weather on the Friday, June 15, 2007 has to be nice, but everyone please save this date. Please feel free to invite your friends that have neat cars to join as well.

On other point is that thanks to Larry, for those southern WI and Northern IL individuals that would like to join the cruise from WI, but do not want to drive up to Milwaukee at the starting point (College Avenue Park & Ride), we could add one other meeting spot in Kenosha. If you are interested in this, I need to know so we know how many people want to meet in this Kenosha, WI location. I will send the address after we gauge interest. This way, more people can participate in the cruise to the Gurnee, IL car show.

As you know, the first event of the year is scheduled on May 12, 2007 - Project Two Customs Car Show and Open House. I wanted to provide everyone with logistical information as well an update as to who is planning on attending given that the weather is good. I will be sending our another email regarding this event on Thursday, May 10, 2007. At this time, we will better understand what the weather is going to be for May 12, 2007. Please be sure to check your email during this week.

(1) Logistical information: We will be meeting in between 3:15PM and 3:30 PM at the Waukesha County park and ride lot 67-05 - http://www.dot.state.wi.us/travel/pa.../d2/pr6705.htm. At 3:30 PM, we will depart from the park & ride lot and follow each other to Project Two Customs (which is about a ten minute ride from the Park & Ride Lot). Please note that I am trying to get all of us to pull into the show together. Parking will not be an issue as Project Two Customs has taken out a permit to close down the street.

(2) I have listed those that indicated they are attending the show below. Right now, we have 70 people (Not including the friends of individuals below who will be coming with their cars, but I do not have their email address). If you plan on attending the event, please let me know by responding to this email if your name is not listed below. The reason behind this is that I will create a check list of everyone who is attending so we know who is coming and do not leave anyone behind at the park & ride lot. Thus, if I do not know you are coming, I obviously can not wait for you at the park and ride.

I hope that more of you decide to participate. It is going to be a fun event. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I would like to get 100 cars meeting at the park & ride lot to participate. Hopefully, with more participation, we can get there in a few weeks.
